Many people think that their shared network drives need to be cleaned up. Unfortunately, this often doesn't go beyond a vague feeling that there must be a better way to organize all of that information. They lack tools and expertise to grapple with the problem. They just don't know where to start.
This session provides a way to look at shared drive cleanup in a way that you can actually come to grips with the problem and get started. There are basic principles that can be used to help classify and organize the information on a shared drive. Come and learn how you can start to tame ""the wild west.""
This is a high level session dealing with basic concepts and principles. We won't get into the nitty gritty of bits and bytes. We might touch on some aspects of information theory but we promise we'll try to make it intelligible for the general public. If you have enough computer background to use your organization's network shared drive you'll be able to follow along.
If you've ever looked at your network shared drive and thought, ""I don't know what half of this stuff is,"" then this is a session for you.
