Description

Derby City Council is a local government office in England faced with getting a handle on their unstructured file share data - especially in the face of mounting GDPR pressure. Of the 42 million files they've crawled, 20 million have been identified as Redundant, Obsolete or Trivial. Sounds like a win - or is this a case where ignorance bliss?

Excavating the garbage means actually doing something about it and 20 million files is well beyond human scale. Dealing with the information debt, providing the confidence to hit delete and forcing everyone to pull their head out of the sand in the face of mounting privacy fines is just as important as the migration to SharePoint.
