Carol started her career in the environmental field back in the 1980’s -- a highly regulated and record intensive field. She then expanded these skills for maintaining exemplary records into the Federally funded not for profit world where she added the skills related to ISO certification and internal auditing of processes and policy. Eventually this led her into the Municipal world of records and privacy in 2006 with the County of Simcoe with an eventual move to the City of Barrie in 2019. She continued to expand records programming and privacy oversight in these roles and developed strong relationships with her stakeholders through analysis of their processes and the records they generate. She responds to all Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy requests and provides privacy oversight to staff. During 2018-19 Carol obtained her LEAN Green Belt certification which she pulls from to assist departments to review processes and ensure only the records required are generated
