Ms. Gelyk is a seasoned professional within the records, information management & information governance (RIM) fields. Prior to becoming a RIM consultant and owner of 2plus2 Consulting Inc., she developed, implemented and project managed enterprise-wide records and information management programs within the private and public sectors.

Irene is an active member of ARMA International, the ICRM, Information Governance Initiative, and the Certified Information Governance Officers Association. Irene is currently a student in the Master of Information Management (MIM) distance program through Dalhousie University (6 courses completed of nine). She is the first Canadian to attain the Certified Information Governance Officer (CIGO) designation and is one of the first ten in the world to be certified through CIGOA.org and the ICRM.org.
She is currently serving as the Secretary for the ARMA Toronto Chapter 2020-2022 and has served twice as President of the ARMA Toronto Chapter, and Meeting Chair, is a former Trustee of the ARMA International Educational Foundation (AIEF) board, served as a member of the ARMA Glossary of Records and Information Management Terms, 4th Ed. (ARMA TR 22-12012) publication committee. Irene has also mentored candidates as they studying to achieve their CRM and IGP professional designations.
