Description

"As we set out establishing our Records Management Program we often overlook the importance of good reporting to showcase our results.

Stephen Covey’s author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People identifies the habit of “begin with the end in mind. “ Applying this habit to our work - When we establish a Records Management Program do we have a clear vision of the desired outcome(s)?

This session will explore these important questions:

What are ways you can measure the impact of your Program? How will you benchmark your progress to show having a Records Management Program results in improved recordkeeping?

What are some best practices and approaches available from other countries and organizations? What tools have they developed and what standards are they measuring against?

As you establish Information Governance what measures allow you to demonstrate success?

What are some strategies for assessing and identifying the impact of your Program?

What Standards are you going to use? What reporting would illustrate what you have achieved?

Target Audience

Records and information management professionals at all stages in their careers will benefit from attending. It will also appeal to individuals from a variety of disciplines, particularly Information Technology, privacy, access, policy, compliance, information security, and risk management."
