Matthew Moore has worked at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) since 2017. Prior to his time at LAC, he was an assistant historian at the Canadian War Museum. Currently, he is Acting Senior Project Officer in the Recordkeeping Strategies section of Archives Branch. Since 2017, his work has focused primarily on the reappraisal of government records. In 2021, he began working in information management as a Project Officer assisting LAC in its mandate to support the management of information by government institutions. More recently, he has been involved in a proof of concept project for e-ingest of archival government at LAC and has been responsible for responding to queries related to Government of Canada information management and record keeping practices. He is a member of the Archives Association of Ontario’s Eastern Executive (AAOEe) and is interested in government record keeping, open government, and e-ingest of born digital archival material.
