"Sharon Smith has worked at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) for over 20 years. She is currently Senior Project Manager in the Recordkeeping Strategies section of Archives Branch.
Since 2008, her work has focused primarily on government records - developing IM strategies, plans, policies, and guidelines; and on program delivery of LAC’s mandate to facilitate the management of information by government institutions.
She is a member of the Programme Commission of the International Council on Archives (ICA) and a member of the ICA Expert Group on Managing Digital and Physical Records.
As Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee for ISO TC46/SC11 (Archives and records management), she is involved in international recordkeeping standards. Sharon is the international convener for SC11/WG18 (revision of ISO 13008, Digital records conversion and migration process), and SC11/WG20 (Records management capability assessment model)."
