Sheila has 30+ years’ experience as an information management consultant, educator, and practitioner. She advises clients on the IG challenges of new or emerging technologies such as BYOD, has presented to R/IM professionals on new or emerging technologies such as blockchain, and has (co-) authored 3 chapters on new or emerging technology and information management for Carswell's Records and Information Management service (Chapter 45 – Blockchain and Recordkeeping, Chapter 40 – RIM Strategies for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), and Chapter 39 – Social Media and RIM). She has taught R/IM certificate and degree courses at the community college and university levels. Her R/IM articles and book reviews have been published in journals such as Association Magazine, Information Management Journal, Municipal World, and Records and Information Management Report. She has presented on various topics at R/IM industry conferences (including many ARMA Canada Region and ARMA International conferences) and ARMA chapter events, and has presented R/IM topics at conferences for other professions such as facility management, law, police, and school board administration. Sheila is a CIP, CRM, and IGP.
