Ewa Piorko leads the Records and Information Management group at ARC Resources Ltd. in Calgary, AB. Ewa has a Master of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Library and Information Science from Dalhousie University, and is a Certified Information Access and Privacy Professional. Ewa has over 14 years of experience leading IM programs across diverse industries including Energy, Government, Higher Education, and Media & Communications in Canada and internationally. Ms. Piorko has substantial experience in the administration and management of technical services functions in academic and special libraries and archives. She has presented on topics related to Electronically Stored Information, Digital Recordkeeping, and Ethics in Archives Management at ARMA Canada and the Association of Canadian Archivists International Conference. As a continuation of a major initiative presented at the 2019 conference, Ewa and Angélique and will discuss their continued learnings and offer practical guidance on leveraging an Electronically Stored Information (ESI) inventory for integration into daily business processes, user experience, and influence third-party contract conditions for renewal and procurement.
